mobility strategy
ÖAMTC, Austria’s leading automobile and touring club, wanted to improve both efficiency and sustainability within their employee commuting structure. This required precise insights into the commuting patterns of around 1,000 employees based at their headquarters in Vienna. By working with triply and using the Mobility Audit, ÖAMTC aimed to streamline commuting options, identify emission-saving measures, and create a more sustainable mobility framework for the long term.
triply’s solution offered a detailed, end-to-end view of commuting patterns, CO₂ emissions, and cost-saving potentials, helping ÖAMTC visualize its employees' transport choices and their environmental impact.
The analysis phase began with triply’s two-week mobility survey, which captured both qualitative and quantitative data on commuting. The survey achieved a 30% response rate, offering valuable insights into daily travel choices. By incorporating anonymized residential data of employees, triply’s audit was able to connect specific locations to the best transport modes available.
With an emphasis on data security and privacy compliance, the audit showed ÖAMTC exactly where to target improvements, helping pinpoint initiatives that would provide both environmental and employee benefits. The team visualized access routes to the ÖAMTC headquarters, categorizing them by public transit, cycling, and walking availability. This allowed ÖAMTC to quickly see the most effective areas for action, like encouraging active transportation and providing better infrastructure for biking and walking.
“triply’s data was instrumental in giving us an actionable blueprint, allowing us to design a mobility strategy that aligns with our sustainability goals and supports employee well-being.”
